DD1 has had exams, but unfortunately it has not gone very well. Next Thursday she will hear the results, until then we live in tension. To cheer her up, I decided to make a bag like the bag Sarah has made for me. You can see it here. She was very fond of that bag and once said she wanted to have one for herself. I used my Dresden plate ruler for the first time. It was super. But I did not pay attention to how great the plate was going to be and now the bag became pretty big. Ah, handy when she goes to the beach this summer!
Do you see the stitchery in the middle of the Dresden plate? It is a stitchery of the Life is Beautifulquilt of Helen Stubbings. This quilt is very popular in the Netherlands. I find it very gorgeous also, but I did not want to use the original quiltdesign. Now, I think, I found a nice way to use the stitchery.
In the garden the poppies suffered from heavy rain last week, but fortunately there are many flowerbuds this year. The poppies don't smell but the peony and the sweet mock orange the more!

Fijn weekend!
Have a nice weekend!
